
Shimla is nestled in the heart of the state of Himachal Pradesh. It is the capital of the state and also the municipal corporation of the Shimla District.
Earlier Shimla was called Simla but over the times name changed to Shimla. It is the most accepted tourist’s destination and is most of the times referred to as the “Queen of Hills”.

There are many famous picnic spots, markets and places to visit in Shimla. The local transport that one can use here is either bus or private vehicles. The city has well connected roads and is at a distance of 365kms from New Delhi and 115kms from Chandigarh.
The temperature here is, in summers (32.95 C) and in winters (3.95 C). The best season to visit is from mid March to mid November. If one wants to enjoy the snowfall as well you can visit during December but mostly routes to higher snow points are closed due to heavy snow.
