
Jaipur famously known as the Pink City.It was founded by the astronomer King Sawai Jai Singh who belonged to the Kachhawaha clan. The city got its name as the pink city from its various buildings which are pink in color giving an impression of red sandstone buildings and creating an impression of the Mugal cities.

Just about 11kms from Jaipur is the Ajmer fort built by Raja Man Singh. Jaipur boasts of rich Rajput architecture.
