Lying in Industrial town of the Solan district is the city of Parwanoo. It shares its border with the town of Panehkula in Haryana and lies on the Chandigarh – Shimla highway.

The Timber Trail Resort in Parwanoo is the major attraction in the hill station of Parwanoo. It lies in the Shivalik range of the Lower Himalayas and is the best tourist spot.
