Kufri, Shimla is located at an elevation of 9000 ft. The beauty of the mountains and its surroundings is mind blowing that it can leave a person spell bound.

The entire range of snow peaks is visible right from Badrinath in UP up to Pir Panjal in Kashmir. Initially Kufri was just a pond where travelers used to rest and enjoy for a while. By rail there is a broad gauge railway line till Kalka and after that one can take the joy ride in the mountains through other rails.
