The northern region of Himachal Pradesh has extreme weather conditions woth the winter being extreme cold with heavy snow fall. The best season to visit the state is between the months of May to October.
The people of Himachal Pradesh lead a simple and a quite life. They basically spend their life with taking care of their orchards, fields and flocks. The population of Himachal Pradesh consists of tribes belonging to the hilly region.
The tribes mainly are Gadis, Gujaris, Kinnauris, Lahulis, Pangwalis and Rajputs. Pahari and Hindi are the main languages spoken by the people of Himachal Pradesh.
Tourists from all over the world and India are attracted towards Himachal Pradesh due to various reasons like Tibetan temples, The Himalayas. Shimla, Dalhousie, Dharamsala, Manali, Kullu are among the few favored destinations for the tourists.
Shimla is the capital of Himachal Pradesh and is a cool and a pleasant city – ideal for a summer visit. Dalhousie has a Victorian charm added to its beauty. Kullu- Manali are favourite hill stations of travelers, Dharamsala – house of Dalai Lama and the major Buddhist center.
The state has rivers in deep gorges, high mountains, dense forest, snow covered mountains all of which are a pleasant treat to the eyes to watch. Also they are a sport for all those adventure loving people. Trek routes extending over a week, grueling expeditions, skiing, ice skating, paragliding, mountaineering, rock climbing, camping, fishing…pheww.. You name it and you will have it.
