History of Chomugadh:
Chomugadh-The suffix ‘gadh’gives a clear indication that the palaces was fortified strategically, in this case with a five meter thick wll to ward off the enemy.
Govinsinghji converted the fort into a palace between 1863 and 1901. The main Darbar Hall in the fort was built by Thakur Devsinghji during 1901 and again 1937. Chomugadh is an exceptional example of Rajasthani art and artitecture.
